This week I attended the Tourist Development Council’s monthly meeting in Key West. The TDC’s board members unanimously voted to permanently dismiss their Marketing Director, Stacey Mitchell.

While the Tourist Development Council gives to the arts, sponsors distinctive island events and help us to preserve what makes us different, imagine if the TDC kept more of their budget in the Keys, helping businesses locally?

The County Clerk’s Office released the third and most recent audit of the Tourist Development Council that only shows additional problems to the overall operation.
