Stop Pay-to-Play Politics in Monroe County – Support Our Campaign for Change

The stakes in this election couldn’t be higher. It’s clear from Friday’s Finance Report that my opponent, Jim Scholl, is almost entirely funded by big developers and companies with pending business before the County. This is known as “pay-to-play” in many states, where these types of contributions are seen as blatant corruption and are illegal. But in Florida, it’s permitted and has come to mean “payment for services rendered”—a dangerous cycle that keeps local government decisions in the hands of a few powerful insiders.

I’m taking a different path. My campaign is fueled by hundreds of Keys residents who are tired of seeing their voices drowned out by big money. These donations come from people who love the Keys and believe it’s time for a change. They’re donations from people like you, who want government to work for the people and not for special interests looking to exploit our community for profit.

This Thursday, October 31st, is the LAST day donations can be accepted. Your support right now will help us spread our message of CHANGE and fight back against the corruption that’s taken root at the highest levels of county government. Every donation is a powerful statement that Monroe County deserves better. I cannot be bought, and if elected, I will ensure transparency and bring accountability to the BOCC, advocating tirelessly for the residents who desperately need it.

One new voice on the Commission can make all the difference. I’ll be that voice, your voice —working for solutions that put our community first, not the interests of a few developers and their profit-driven agenda. It’s time to take back Monroe County and make it work for the people who call it home. It’s time for you to be heard.

I ask for your vote on November 5th to be that voice of change Monroe County needs.
